Rig Manager/Tool Push
DUTIES:
- Operate company equipment/vehicles
- Ensure company equipment is cleaned and kept orderly
- Ensure everyone is performing proper duties at all times
- Ensure rig setup is performed correctly
- Drive equipment onto lease and watch for signals
- Give signals to other drivers arriving on lease
- Ensure jobs are done safely and per procedures
- Communicate effectively with workers and oil company representative
- Drive truck during rig move
- Overlook all duties and paperwork necessary to perform each task
- Communicate with Contractors, Consultants, and any other service companies
- Order appropriate supplies
HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure personal and crew safety training is kept up to date
- Know and Follow all appropriate rules and regulations
- Ensure all equipment is inspected prior to use
- Fill out hazard assessment prior to each job
- Communicate hazards with the crew
- Conduct pre-job safety meetings
- Fill out all applicable safety permits at each job site (daily or change of scope)
- Ensure all appropriate people have signed all permits
- Ensure everyone has appropriate PPE and it is in good condition
- Be familiar with all safe work procedures and JSA’s
- Ensure the crew is familiar with appropriate safe work procedures and JSA’s
- Ensure everyone is performing their duties safely
- Encourage the refusal of any work that is unsafe
- Investigate any refusals of work
- Report all accidents/incidents/near misses to Management
- Supervisor training
- Coordinate all safety drills (man down/fire/etc)
- Give jobs to crew for emergency response
- Perform Rig Inspections
- Ensure all people in lease sign in and out and are accounted for
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold all relevant safety tickets
- Previous Roughneck, Derrick, and Driller experience on Service rig
- At least 5-7 years experience on a Service Rig
- Hold a 1A drivers license
- Physically fit to perform laborious duties
- Supervisor Training
Driller
DUTIES
- Operate company equipment/vehicles
- Ensure company equipment is cleaned and kept orderly
- Ensure everyone is performing proper duties during rig setup
- Run controls to level the rig during setup
- Assist with any duties being performed (eg. railings, steps, floor, etc)
- Drive equipment onto lease and watch for signals
- Ensure jobs are done safely and per procedures
- Operating Controls
- Ensure all duties are being done properly
- Communicate with workers and rig manager
- During rig move drive the rig
- Overlook all duties on rig floor to ensure they are being performed correctly and safely
HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure safety training is kept up to date
- Follow all appropriate rules and regulations
- Inspect equipment prior to use
- Assist with hazard assessment prior to each job
- Participate pre-job safety meetings
- Sign and be familiar with all applicable safety permits at each job site (daily orchange of scope)
- Ensure you have appropriate PPE and it is in good condition
- Be familiar with all safe work procedures and JSA’s
- Ensure everyone is performing their duties safely
- Refuse any work that you feel is unsafe

Supervisor training
QUALIFICATIONS
- Hold all relevant safety tickets
- Previous Roughneck and Derrick experience on Service rig
- At least 5 years experience on a Service Rig
- Hold a 1A drivers license

Derrickhand
DUTIES
- Operate company equipment/vehicles
- Assist with cleaning company equipment and keep things orderly
- Assist with rig set up (railings/steps/rig floor etc)
- Put stands under the front and belly jacks
- Ensure load lines and guide lines don’t get caught on the rig during setup
- Drive equipment onto lease and watch for signals
- Ensure jobs are done safely and per procedures
- Running tongs
- Pulling pipe
- Throwing pipe
- Climb ladder to Derrick
- Use rod transfer when running and pulling rods
- Ensure load lines and guide lines don’t get caught when rigging out
- Assist with taking down railing and steps on rig
- During rig move drive the pump and tank or other equipment
- In charge of pump operation in winter (diesel to ensure it does not freeze)
HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure safety training is kept up to date
- Trained in Fall Protection and follow all rules and regulations
- Inspect Fall Protection equipment prior to each use
- Assist with hazard assessment prior to each job
- Participate pre-job safety meetings
- Sign and be familiar with all applicable safety permits at each job site (daily or change of scope)
- Ensure you have appropriate PPE and it is in good condition
- Be familiar with all safe work procedures and JSA’s
- Speak up if you see someone performing an unsafe act or duty
- Refuse any work that you feel is unsafe
- Report all accidents/incidents/near misses to Rig Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
- Hold all relevant safety tickets-CPR/First Aid, H2S Alive, Rig Rescue, TDG, WHMIS, Confined Space
- Previous Roughneck experience on service rig
- Hold at least a class 5 drivers license
- Hold a 1A drivers license
- Physically fit to perform laborious duties
- Fall Protection training
Roughneck/Floorhand
DUTIES
- Assist in operation of company equipment/vehicles
- Cleaning company equipment and keep things orderly
- Assist with rig set up (railings/steps/rig floor etc)
- Run line from pump and tank to wellhead during rig setup
- Assist with guiding equipment onto lease (signals)
- Ensure jobs are done safely and per procedures
- Picking pipe
- Laying down pipe
- Run tongs on rig floor
- Spin rods with wrenches
- Put matting away after rig is lowered
- Take down line from pump and tank to wellhead while rigging out
- Make sure lines from tubing board don’t get tangled with the wellhead while rigging out
- Assist with taking down railing and steps on rig
- During rig move drive drillers truck or 5 ton if proper license is held

Selection Process
Among the things that we look for in an employee are:

- Eligibility to work in Canada
- At least 18 years of age
